Re-Connection:
A Process or a Lifestyle?

What happens in your quiet
moments? Do you feel connected? A part of all things?
Connection can
be a mysterious element to define clearly. We know how it feels to
be disconnected: it may have the subtle flavour of being out of
sorts, not centred, not quite right but not realizing something is off.
Or it may come in strong, through the guise of anger, depression or
despair and you know something is wrong but cannot quite pinpoint
whether it's you or everybody else.
CONNECTION
Re-connection is also the processing of aligning with your past, present and
future. It makes you stronger and gives you the strength of purpose to
align with the greater plan.
DELINEATING THE
PAST
Like the blood that courses through our veins, our connection is always there.
Even in moments of our deepest and darkest despair our connection is there, it
is part of our lifeforce. Unwittingly, we are sometimes the culprits of
withholding our own connection leaving us feeling alone, abandoned and bereft.
A pretty bleak scenario that can
always changed within an instant. Just like the blood that courses through
your veins and pumps your heart, so does your connection which helps you rise up
and meet the challenges and joys that life presents to you.
TRIBAL BELIEFS
Historically, we have had the tendency to be a rather punitive tribe, an eye for
an eye, a life for a life, and then some... If you have perpetrated some real or
imagined crime against another he will in turn tend to retaliate either in
thought, action or deed. At some level of consciousness it is almost like
this is a law, and so it is.
As you become more and more awake to
your internal and external surroundings, you start to respond to and live
through higher levels of consciousness where this primitive tribal belief is no
longer activated. Instead of detracting or polluting, you begin to add to
the harmony of the spheres.
NONSENSE VERSUS NON-SENSE
The nonsense that
dictated a large part of your living and thinking life begins to appear just as
it is, as non-sense. No longer the crucial ingredient that fuels how your
internal and external world runs.
Believing in yourself is crucial, but
it alone is not enough to be the sole source of power on your journey.
There needs to be a connection to something or someone outside yourself. A
belief in an energy, source, divine consciousness...whatever the appropriate
label is for you. Once you realize that you are not alone, but you are in
fact a key element of this organism, this is where you really begin to define a
sense of purpose for your life. Separation is but a state of the ego
feeling separate, feeling superior, feeling inferior; it is all a state of ego
we need to reckon with.
It's not necessarily easy nor does it
need to be hard: it is what it is; it has no beginning and no ending.
HEART LESSONS
It is a very good lesson to learn when you're able to hear with the heart.
Listening with the compassion and love that this organ enables you to will open
new vistas to you.
How would it be to see someone you
distrust or someone who has been deceitful or betrayed you, through the eyes of
benevolence: with love, grace and compassion instead of looking at them
through anger, hatred and frustration. Instead of being repelled by them
to find a way in their being-ness, knowing that they're also human and although
you may not like their actions or even understand them; you've found a way to
give them a space, and to view them with compassion.
What a sweeter world we would live in
if we were able to allow ourselves to follow this path and create new tribal
traditions.
It's about time to understand that if
you're unable to create this kind of compassionate space, right now, that's
alright, what is needed is the intention and the will to aspire to create this
type of space.
This is not written from a
'condescending or do gooder' space where by loving one another we all live in a
harmonious world. It is written from a space of knowing these are very
much ego-driven issues and as we begin to tame our ego issues, that highlight
shadows in our life and shadows on our souls, we then begin to live from our
higher 'ego self' and create new paths to help our continually evolving process.
It's just flowing all around you... your connection.
WHERE DO I GO NOW
We belong and have within us a knowingness that we do belong and are truly
connected. If you find yourself feeling disconnected, along and adrift,
remember, the blood that courses through your veins allows you to remain
connected to this physical body, which is you. Your spiritual connection
is your essence and you soul and is always with and within you. It hears
not what you hear, it sees not what you see, it feels not what you feel, for if
you can allow yourself to tap into the grace afforded you by merely being you,
you increase your spiritual horizon, your spiritual depth, your spiritual
knowingness.
Remember, we belong, and within us
lies a knowingness that we are truly connected. If you feel stuck don't
worry, know that it will pass. It is just a hiccup in your development
process as you're trying to stretch out and reach beyond imaginary boundaries
and chains that have been placed in your soul by you. The restriction you
find there have almost always been constructed by you. It's learning how
to unravel the past from the present and living purposefully, freely and
intention filled lives. Those are all elements to create a powerhouse of a
connection within you.
We are all one.
